Maybe they're doing a Canon like the lack of EF-S L. new Sony Alpha & NEX lenses - Klaus - 08-24-2011
Thinking about it, are there any DT G lenses?
Well, unlike the existing Gs this one is weather-sealed and it shares the SSM drive. However, based on the few images that I've seen it seems to have rather soft corners at 16mm (on the A77). Possibly a reason for the non-G designation. Makes you wonder what to mount to a 24mp APS-C cameras somehow. new Sony Alpha & NEX lenses - anyscreenamewilldo - 08-24-2011
. . . I'm also thinking I should change my sig to "not every pixel needs to look perfect all the time". new Sony Alpha & NEX lenses - youpii - 08-24-2011
Well, unlike the existing Gs this one is weather-sealed and it shares the SSM drive. Canon/Nikon 17-55/2.8s have better corners but cost much more than the Sony. new Sony Alpha & NEX lenses - Klaus - 08-24-2011
Corner sharpness on FF 24-70/2.8s from all brands also have weak corners in the wide part. However, it's rather disappointing to deliver such a (great) camera but no lenses to match. It's a bit of a old Sony decease. That said my Zeiss 16-80 will certainly enjoy its new home on the NEX 7 w/adapter. new Sony Alpha & NEX lenses - marco - 08-24-2011
NEX: 50mm f/1.8: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/dsl-aps-c-lenses/sel-50f18 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ddl-telephoto-lenses/sel-55210 Zeiss 24mm f/1.8: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ddl-wide-angle-lenses/sel-24f18z Alpha: 16-50/2.8: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ddl-aps-c-lenses/sal-1650 No G ? Otherwise a fast lens with stabilization is probably very prone to decentering. new Sony Alpha & NEX lenses - Klaus - 08-24-2011
The 50mm f/1.8 OSS is interesting if the optical quality would be there. The Nikkor 200/2 and Canon 200/2 qualify for the title so far. new Sony Alpha & NEX lenses - youpii - 08-24-2011
The 50mm f/1.8 OSS is interesting if the optical quality would be there.
