Sony plans A-E hybrid with FF sensor. That's super cool IMHO.
Bravo Sony.
Sony have historically been very bad at keeping their plans to themselves. Rumours have had a pretty good record there.
I think it makes good sense to have an oversized sensor in an E-mount body. The adapter is trivial after that. The only question then is, how big mount diameter is big enough? Using the image earlier, the E-mount opening appears more then big enough to accommodate a FF sensor.

Further more, notice the grey area around the sensor? That is the room needed for SSS to move the sensor around.

NEX cameras don't have SSS.

Thanks for correcting me on that. That is even stranger then, no in body IS and a full frame DSLR lens range without any optical IS.

NEX system (E-mount) has stabilized lenses. Alpha system (A-mount) has stabilized bodies (and a few stabilized lenses made by Sigma, for those who care for that).
