Interesting ... fairly big though. This vs the Loxia 21mm f/2.8?

Looks slightly bigger than the Loxia, but not that much

There's already a Voigtlander 21mm 1.8 thats quite good so this has limited novelty. Although the V does have some mild corner colour issues on Sony cameras. I found it surprisingly hard to focus manually though, enough that I don't like using it.
I hope sony makes a fast wide angle soon

I don't think that the V21mm is "optimized" for digital cameras.

Tokina goes manual focus? Now that's what I call degradation...

Agreed what's the point by a manufacturer like tokina to make a manual focus (and from the picture manual aperture) lens?

So I guess I am the only one who is not stressed by a manual focus ultra-wide lens ...

The Loxia 21 is quite popular on the Fred Miranda forums
I have no problem with manual focus. I often travel with Loxia 50 and Contax G90. It's fine for non moving subjects at F8

Quote:The Loxia 21 is quite popular on the Fred Miranda forums It is a much lesser issue on mirrorless cameras than on historic cameras anyway ... ;-) Quote:It is a much lesser issue on mirrorless cameras than on historic cameras anyway ... ;-) Didn't you forget a pre somewhere? |
