Hi Sammy,
Thanks for joining. I had a look on dpreview and looking at their size comparion of the NEX-6 to the Lumix GX1 is actually quite surprising. The NEX has a large sensor, a build in EVF and is only slightly larger. I see what you mean. On the other hand there are camers with build in finders in the mFT camp, but everyone seems to have settled on a pseudo SLR design (E-M5, G5, GH3).
From your answer, I take you also think the days of enthusiast finder-less cams are over (the E-P1/GF-1 was huge) and now this market demands a build in finder.
Perhaps I need to warm up to an E-M5 after all <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Thanks again

Joachim, I think the fact that Olympus refreshed only the EPL & EPM and not the E-P line has more to do with them not wanting to come up with the same design as previous E-P's with just an E-M5 sensor (it had touch screen already, etc,...). I think they need more time for at least two reasons : 1*redesign properly the E-P & 2*give some air to the OM-D so that the EP doesn't compete with it even if I think the OMD line centered "faux dslr" style will remain the only design featuring the newer&large shutter&IS unit (explaining the centered hump) for a little while. A proper differentiator and simply because it wouldn't fit, IMHO.
So I think the next EP could have a "rangefinder" EVF with the smaller&classic shutter&IS unit, allowing for a decentered viewer. Well, that's my hope.
Just my 2 cents,
S.
