We are still battling our jet-lag but we've finally arrived in Sydney (yesterday actually).

So PZ is an Australian-German thing now.

I will care for Canon, Sony, Pentax & Fuji from here.

Markus and Sebastian are still German-based and cover Nikon (Markus), Samsung (Markus) as well as Four-Thirds (Sebastian).

Technically nothing will really change - except for some new sample scenes on my side. [Image: cool.gif]

welcome to this far away place - yes around 24hrs flying time is too much, but at least this w'end is cooler so should be relaxing - hope Sydney/Frenchs Forest treats you well - the time difference to the real world doesn't workout too bad mostly - and yes it'll be interesting to see the new samples -

i see in SMH today that cloud storage is greatly expanding down here, so i suppose fujitsu and you will be right in there - good one - SMH in the clouds link

What a strange and wonderful world.

I'm an Australian but now live in Europe. You're a European and now call Australia home.

Best wishes Klaus.

Just one thing though. You better be quick and follow a Ruby League team. Otherwise they might think you're from Melbourne - like me!

You will just love it there. After spending 12 years there, I view Australia as a first-class first-world country. In fact, I will be north of Sydney in March for my 70th! I could not think of any better way to celebrate than with my friends there.

I'm afraid that I'm too old to get assimilated by 100%. I will never associate Vegemite with food and Cricket doesn't really feel like sports. I will have a look at footy & rugby but I reckon I will stick to bushwalking, scuba diving and a bit of rock climbing. So to some degree I will remain "krautish" - you cannot hide it anyway. A year without winter... Gee, once I was dreaming about that <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

Anyway, I just wonder, if someone will be willing to send a new Pentax 50 mm ( which is on a wish list) - where should he send it now? Maybe you have to update that part about EU-citizens <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> .

With best wishes for a new start,

A.

......uh-oh those are extreme danger sports down here - better keep a watch out for eastern browns, death adders, red backs, white pointers and box jellies then - they all have a taste for sauerkraut......

OK, then there is only one other thing that you need to get right. How to say G'day correctly. No need to add "mate" at this stage.

Aussies will accept your "krautishness", no problems. But if you can't get the G'day with that unique sound they'll always think that you're just another tourist.

Good luck and have fun. Oh, if you make it down to Vic for a bit of bush walking I highly recommend Wilsons Prom.

...... and if you do you'll be not far away from Melbourne, the second largest Greek city in the world..... you should visit

......hmmm why is it that people worry about my jokes

...... still if you are to start work next week, there will be the Melbourne cup on tuesday i think, which generally means a celebratory nation wide drink up and splurge on the nags..... so a quiet arvo at work may be
