A number of rumour sites are "confirming" that in a couple of weeks Sony is going to release a new APS-C camera, the a6500. It seems to be an upgrade of the a6300, with in-body stabilisation.
Interesting, even though strange: the a6300 is around since a not so long time.
I hope that this could lower the price of the a6300...

I see. They are crazy: 1.700 €, body only (same price tag of the D500/7dm2, actually). So the a6300 is going to stay at the same price, I suppose.

It has a lot of things crammed in such a small size. In USA a6500 is 1400$ and d500 2000$ list price. In europe... no comment

I think the reason a6000 had sold in such large numbers was its price, it was pretty much unbeatable at that price range for soccer moms who use the kit lens for everything. Coming from Sony APS-C (Had the Nex 7 before I bought the A7), I fail to see their APS-C system to make sense to me as a photographer at this price range.
And I'm not even going to begin with how they shoot their users in the foot by pretending everything not announced in the past 6 months don't exist and therefore don't need any real support.

I am sure what they smoke at the moment, but for sure they want to smoke something expensive in the (near) future.
