I think we can rule out very fast primes if we assume peak performance is at f/5.6 before diffraction starts to step in. That would then suggest a f/2.8 lens (or slightly slower). That would also be consistent with the Canon f/2.8 reviews for example where the chart goes to f/11 on the right, up a stop each set left.

 

So, what f/2.8 prime lenses haven't been published yet?
