Nice, certainly something worth to check out this week.
Quite a busy day today (as expected). Leica and Hasselblad are still missing. And Sigma has been very quiet so far.

Yeah, funnily the News section on the front page is already in overflow mode (as far as Photokina announcements are concerned). And Samsung is also not in there yet (I'm still looking for the manufacturer's reference pages here).

Didn't Hasselblad announce new products (macro lens, new digital backs) last month?

Now that is a worthwhile lens for MFT!
70-200mm f5.6 full frame equivalent of only 360 grams. Very nice. Finally the size and weight promises are being delivered.
Will make for a nice portrait zoom.

The new 35-100 f/2.8 lens looks good indeed, but the GH3 is somewhat difficult to appreciate. E.g. it´s larger and heavier than the GH2, well into DSLR territory in fact, and the multi-aspect sensor feature is gone. Besides the eventually improved sensor (From Sony? Has Pana given up it´s own sensor development?) it doesn´t offer striking advantages for taking stills compared to the G5. The video crowd may like the GH3 more though.

Pekkapotka alluded to Leica coming with some stuff :
"Leica is taking wholly new steps but stays very much Leica, so don´t worry Leica shooters. Unlike many other companies, Leica has kept all their product images in-house and thus avoided seeing them published at internet rumor sites. Breaking NDAs seems to be one of the more popular hobbies these days."
Crossing my fingers with Sigma. They're quite impressive lately.
