The Nikon 85mm f1.8 D is not a star in the smooth bokeh department. It is a nice lens, but does not have the greatest bokeh. For smooth bokeh in a 85mm, just simply look at the Canon 85mm f1.8.
Your Leica 135mm does render nicely, one of the reasons I advised you to go give it a try.
