Well yes, Canon listened... But that doesn't mean that the upcoming 5D3 will use the same low-resolution (<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />) sensor...<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />...
I believe the 1D-X' s new sensor is good enough to enable:
- faster frame rates
- decent / usable IQ in very high ISO settings (maybe better than D3s?... With more resolution <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />).
So if we leave aside the overweighted discussions about pixel density; when I think of a sports photographer trying to capture various shots of the athletes in the evening sessions of 2012 Olympics, I can say that the 1D-X is a good move from Canon.
