Almost Fish Eye
#1
I'm fooling around with the Samyang 14/2.8 lately.

In some cases, the geometric distortion looks like a fish eye lens.

"Geometric distortion"? Not sure which kind of distortion you mean. In this case the fisheye look is not caused by the quite pronounced moustache distortion of the lens itself but inevitable aiming an ultra wide lens far above the horizon.

I think "geometric distortion" is the distortion given by the perspective of the specific focal length and "optical distortion" is the extra distortion from the optical formula (usually 0 to 3% for a non-fisheye lens).
