I have have no "hard" data (resolution figures) but subjectively rate it as a pretty good but not stellar performer. Built quality is (just) about acceptable, that´s the drawback of its modest weight. One has to take care at 600 mm due to handshake and the shallow DOF. Shooting at 600 mm without tri-/monopod really can be a bit of a challenge and requires a good technique. AF is surprisingly fast but not 100% accurate with a GF1 (misses in part due to the shallow DOF?). At 600 mm clearly sharpest around f/7.1-f/8. Owners typically say its (much) better at 600 mm than the Pana 45-200 at 400 mm (I don´t have the 45-200...). Others rate it optically about equal to the Oly 75-300 but the Oly is better built. Virtually no CAs at any focal length (software correction by Panasonic/Adobe?). Sebastians review is long overdue... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
