Sure great but sorry - no reviews planned for the Otuses.

Thanks for announcing. Sure great, but sorry, no investment in exactly that boring wide-angle planned  Big Grin 35 or 24, neither fish nor owl. (I know, the saying goes neither fish nor fowl, but since Otus means owl, I couldn't resist  ^_^ )

Any plans to investigate or test some of the Milvus' lenses?

Only one point four kilo? That is a relief.

A nice joke, JoJu.

The lens is... thankfully far outside even the reach of my G.A.S., for a huge amount of different reasons. Smile

I think I will test the Loxias - well, at the least the 21mm.

The Mivuses are more something for Markus.

Zeiss' naming of the last lens series uses latin names for birds. Milvus = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milvus (in Wikipedia is already  a reference to the lenses).

Interestingly not even Zeiss dared to go for a 25 or 24/1.4  Big Grin yet.

Maybe that's the reason they went for a 28mm... to surprise us (at some later date) with a 21/1.4. Big Grin
21/1.4 Fullframe  will bring it close to 10k$.

Hell, why not

Uh, looks like we may have a chance to see that soon!

Maybe the 28mm f1.4 already costs that Wink

Or maybe we can derive the cost from the weight?

55mm f1.4: 1030 grams (ZE versions)

85mm f1.4: 1200 grams

28mm f1.4: 1400 grams

55mm f1.4: €3600 (in my country)

85mm f1.4: €4070

28mm f1.4: 170 grams = €470. 200 grams = €553. That would make the 28mm f1.4 cost about €4623 (in my country)
