Funnily a few Ls are missing (16-35L II, 35/1.4L, 70-200/4L IS (???), 28-300L), the
TS-E 45mm and all the non-L zoom lenses. Oh well, welcome to the future ...

The same scare tactics that Nikon used with the D800/e. "Buy more lenses if you want to use a camera like this". Sure, those lenses will provide the best results but all lenses will be a little better with a higher MP sensor.

Not all, but yes, many. Lenses which are really showing resolution limits at 22mp already, won't give a resolution increase with higher MP sensors. You can, however, make it seem sharper with sharpening, or use good deconvolution software to magically make things more detailed.
interesting....then they will sell it with 24-105f4L as a kit ...

In my country, it is being sold with EF 24-70mm f2.8 L USM II, EF 11-24mm f4 L USM, EF 16-35mm f4 L IS USM or EF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM II.

They also include cheap primes such as
  • EF 50mm f/1.8 II

  • EF 85mm f/1.8 USM

'course they do, those lenses are performing sometimes better than the more expensive faster ones.

No, it does not mean that. The older ones in that list will be replaced in the near-ish future.
