Opticallimits

Without experiments in the room of my house I came to the following conclusion:

Nice bokeh has high price tag, regardless the system. May be threre are exceptions, but how many?

I know of expensive lenses with horrid bokeh. And very affordable lenses with very smooth bokeh (for instance Tamron 60mm f2, Nikkor 40mm f2.8). My very affordable 70-200mm f4 L USM has very nice bokeh too.
