Great review Klaus! I am glad to see that the main brands are having good competition in this segment of the market. And I am also glad that I didn't see in the review "we had to go through 4 copies to find correctly centered one".

Thanks for efforts Klaus.

Thanks for the test. Given the sum of its parts, I thought it was going to get a 4 star!

Well, the bokeh is not perfect. Wide-open there is also a certain weakness.

In the APS-C review it will certainly receive 4-4.5*.

The fact that Klaus didn't have to get 4 copies to get a proper one doesn't tell you anything I'm afraid ! But anyway, the trend is that of a good lens, nice to see cheaper but good alternatives.

Thanks Klaus
Thank you a lot for the review, Klaus!

It is indeed a very nice lens.

Between it and the Nikkor 24-70, which one would you choose if their prices were the same?

The way I see it is the Nikkor seems a bit better optically (less distortion, better bokeh) while the Tamron features stabilization.

Tough choice...

Do want.
That could be my next standard zoom ... if its price settles down a bit.

Frankly, I had hoped for slightly better corner performance wide open ... never mind.

Thank's for the review .... Rainer
