Indeed. However I hope that peaking will be available in the next DSLR models, or at least optional EVF will be introduced.

I turn up the brightness of the LCD, and I have no problem focusing my K-01 in the bright Florida sun. For macro work, though, I can see how the LCD hood would come in very handy, and I plan to get one for that--and for shooting video occasionally.
