There's a few popular lenses missing from the tests, that much is certain.

Yes, the 70-200/4L (on FF) is a deep dark gap for instance. The 20/2.8, 28/1.8 and 100/2 will also be reviewed soon.

I love ya Klaus (in a good meaning of the word). <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> These were precisely the lenses I was going to mention (the native Canon ones, at least).

Fantastic news indeed, esp. about the 70-200 f/4 and the 100 f/2. 180L next? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> That would leave only such esoteric lenses as the 50mm f/2.5 and the 135 f/2.8 SF, and a couple of tilt-shifts. And of course the superteles <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I guess there's little point in testing big superteles, we all know they're going to be fantastic - well, for the price that's not unexpected, innit? Though I can likely predict the results of 20, 28 and 100: the 100 "solid", the 20 and 28 "iffy" to "disastrous".



Of course there are the old cheap 24/2.8 and 28/2.8 - and Markus tested the equivalents on his side of the fence - but they're too old and not likely to be used on FF anyways. Ditto 135 SF. Not sure about the CM.



Oh, and one more overlooked lens is the 28-135 IS. It's still in production so does it have a chance?

Why would they not be used on FF? I'd be quite interested to see the 24mm f/2.8, 28mm f/1.8 and 28mm f/2.8 tested on photozone. They are still being sold and potentially quite good value for money compared with the alternatives - if the tests confirm it, of course. One of the benefits of full frame IMHO is having access to these wide angle primes that just don't exist in APS-C land.
