I remember my first try with fireworks and the approach I did was to let it exposed for a longer time to be able to get more light in the picture. Also as photographers, it is best to position yourself well and with great view just so you will be able to produce stills that are not in the usual range of shots. And that is the main reason why photos land their jobs to begin with.

Yep. And of course this isn't restricted to fireworks images. But given the flood of pictures we're exposed to every day, I find it more and more difficult to create something that doesn't carry the "seen before" tag...
