I have seen this lens offered on the net. Have any of you an opinion as to how good it would be on a D700? The lens review in this forum was outstanding, but it was done on an AFS-C body.

' /> It's less contrasty then the current N 24-70 and more suited for portraits, IMO the rendering of skin is nicer. The current 24-70 being a bit sharper across the frame and punchier in contrast/colours, suits me better for landscapes. I've heard the 28-70 is prone to AF motor failure but I had no problem at all.
