Seems to be a very nice lens. Marginal flare even with direct sunlight.

Distortion and vignetting looks rather high? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> Of course I'm not serious. This is definitely on my wish list, right after I get a 5D3 to use it on... it's that or the Sigma primes...
nice pictures, thank you . . .
. . . just one thing . . . isn't this way of looking at samples preferable to the way the samples are shown at the actual lens test site . . . means that if one is just nosy (or lacking the essential body for the lens maybe?) it is possible to look at a less than full size sample first rather than the whole bigness of it all thus saving bandwidth?? . . . or am i wrong . . . again <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' />

The images are hosted at smugmug.com. As of now we've no bandwidth issues although "the rest" is taking 2TB per month at the moment.
A server upgrade is due in late November I guess.
Technological Tour-de-force. Well done Canon.
