Although you only would need an 28mm f5.6, 50mm f2.8 and 90mm f5.6 to be comparable... Should be a pretty light setup too with such lenses.

I have never seen Minolta AF lenses such as 28mm f5.6 & 90mm f5.6. Maybe that exist in (super cheap) M42 mount.
Anyway, Minolta lenses are very light.
24/2.8 is 215g
28/2.8 is 185g (but not very sharp)
50/1.4 is 235g

Is it still not very sharp when you stop it down to ~f/5.0? This is the equivalent of the m43 14/2.5 when used wide open.

I fully agree. In fact, I was thinking for a moment that the combo 14/2.5 + 25/1.4 + 45/2.8 would be a nice complete lightweight kit for me.
It is just that this lens has nothing that would justify the price.[/quote]
If the new Leica 25/1.4 is to expensive for you take the Pana 20mm f/1.7 instead. A Zuiko macro alternative to the Pana/Leica 45mm f/2.8 is expected to be released this summer.
I can't wait for the first tests and comparison pictures. Then we can really know if the price difference from the 20/1.7 is justified.
I can't find anything sharp in the flower pic. Is it just me?
It isn't screaming sharp at me wide open, particularly in the flower shot, but it isn't that bad either. Looking at the outdoor shots I can see what I think is sharpening halos too. These images are processed, possibly GF3 camera jpegs? No lateral CA that I can find (because there isn't any, or because it is corrected?), and if I look in just the right places I can find some longitudinal CA.
While I'm sure this would make a great general standard lens, I personally don't think it is worth the Leica premium even if it comes at the low end of current rumours. Then again I still think the 20mm f/1.7 is overpriced but I still got that...
It seems the street prices already are considerably lower than the MSRP. Adorama sells the lens for $599.

I thought there is no MSRP yet ?
dpreview lists a MSRP of 549GBP which would match with an MSRP of 599US$. However, I'm not sure whether this is really an official statement.
