BTW, the test has been mainly performed by Sebastian who will now be responsible for both MFT and NEX tests.
I'm hoping that we can pick up some speed here again.

Oh, and it would be nice if you could give us a feedback on the new chart design.
Hi Klaus,
interesting lens to review me thinks ...
two small errors:
- the scale of the vignetting-diagram is wrong ... you used the one for CA diagram.
- the scale of the CA-diagram is wrong ... you used the one of the vignetting diagram
Rainer.
PS: How balanced is this small camera with such a huge lens?

Upps, sorry. Wrong configuration - these are javascript rendered charts now.
Actually the lens felt great on the GF-1. The camera is extremely small the combination with the Nokton was easier to handle for me than with one of the Pana pancakes for instance. It is not a huge lens anyway. It is still smaller than e.g. a Canon EF 85/1.8 USM and that's not a particular y big lens either.

And very exciting lens too <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

It is indeed a very nice lens. If Panasonic has the sense to put the GH2 sensor in a GFx... I would be interested (for my new found 55mm f2 ultra micro from Nikon and this Voigtlander, and the 17mm).
One thing about the charts: we do need to have horizontal lines in the graphs, to easily read them. The info at the mouse pointer is very nicely done though, congratulations on that nice touch.
Lovely little lens.. now lets hope Panasonic makes a GF1 (not GF2) with GH2 sensor! A perfect little travel camera.

Yes, I have to emphasize the colors of the lines. They're too weak.

It looks very good compared to the old Excel style.
I find bar charts in general to appear a bit unscientific. Especially because you cut off the MTF axis at 1000 and do not start at 0, the relative heights of the bars suggest differences larger than they are. That said, given the low sampling rate you have, there is no real alternative to bar charts; charts with just data points would look a bit empty perhaps.

Nothing unscientific about bar charts, or cutting axes. We use that all the time... well, you'd want the bar charts to have error bars, but heck, this is a lens testing site, not Science magazine...
Small detail: page 1 the Leica's name is Noctilux, not Nocton, and the Nikon is more frequently referred to as NoctNikkor.
