Hi all!

I have used this weekend to write a review of the Dell U2711 in combination with the i1-Display2 colorimeter.

I had heard many good things about the Dell 27" high res IPS screen before but I couldnt imagine how good it

could get when properly calibrated, I actually got pro performance from this medium range screen!

Read all about it here:Dell U2711 + Eye-One Display 2 a review of the combo and post your comments in this thred!

This screen has received extremely good reviews and I've been tempted to pick one up. A friend at work has one. While your focus is photography; he uses it for work - but mentioned it has almost no bleed and very good uniformity. I don't see anything in your review with regards to bleed. Did you try running it in a dark room to check for such ?

(I've been debating between this monitor @ $850; the 2411 ($450) (which many complain has tinting and non uniformity issues) and the new Asus monitor ($500) which is similar to the 2411 but early report indicates has no tinting issues.

For my setup I currently have a 4 year old 7300 GS; which in theory could drive this monitor though I wonder in practice if it would work...
