If you can try the old Sigma 400mm Apo Makro(HSM) . It is a stunning lens with extra macro. Way better then any zoom. There is a test here on photozone. If you google it, you will find some excellent macro photos .
You get sometimes a real bargain on ebay and there should be some money left to cover the lower tele end. (I combined it with a lightweight Sigma 50-150 2,8)
