I don't think I have seen this one mentioned anywhere before.



Unfortunately, it was on display behind glass only ... and they couldn't even give a rough estimate about a possible availability date. So, don't expect it soon.

Is it possible taht it is close to Nikkor 16-35/4 (like N12-24DX and T12-24)?

It took them 2 years from the demo unit of the 16.5-135mm till the actual availability ...

However, it doesn't look like a coarse prototype.

Tokina some prototype lenses like 18-60 F2,8 DX never introduced but some like 16-28 F2,8 FX go very quick from prototype to final product.

They really want to challenge the Nikons. But still, the availibility of Tokina 16-28mm FX raise doubts concerning this one too.



Anyway, as I alway say, it's good to see decent alternatives against market leaders.
