Embarrassing for me, but you are correct, and I am ashamed that I rotated the lens and also racked out the focus with the tube to maximum distance rather than minimum. I will redo this example and re-post the results of the anemone - but there won't be any room for bees this time and I have had less coffee so my process might be more careful this time.
