Evening, fellows!

I was wondering if it possible to have a gallery which is open to other users. I haven't uploaded any images yet, but I wanted to start a gallery specially for prime lenses, and allow other members to post their images on primes there too.

Is that possible, or are galleries restricted to the single member who created them?

Thanks,

Pinhole
Not sure if this is possible, but I wonder if it would work at all. "work" in the sense that such a gallery might be flooded with images too soon.

Maybe start a thread in the lens section instead and link to gallery images form there. Makes discussion a bit easier, too.

I think it's not possible (nor desirable due to security concerns). However, yes, a dedicated thread is certainly an option.

Thanks for the replies!

Personally I still think it wouldn't be a bad idea - it would be nice for users to compare field results from specific lenses in one gallery ... but I also understand the drawbacks it could have. A thread is one way to do it, but the nice thing about you galleries is that you have an instant view of the images, rather than having to scroll down a thread.

Anyway, maybe I'll start a Zeiss thread. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

It's be interesting to hear about other users' experiences, since there are very few field reports of these lenses on DSLRs.

Couldn't it be done with tags? I don't see a tagging system in there, but it'd be nice to have anyway, and then you can just view all pictures tagged with "prime lens" as a virtual gallery rather than having to put some of your pictures in a separate gallery because of the lens you happened to use.
