Looking at this thread: http://forum.photozone.de/index.php?/top...__pid__267

It would be nice if there was some way to show that links are link so you don't have to go looking for them by dragging the mouse pointer over all text.

Thought it'd be nice with a separate thread about the forum itself. I have a first suggestion: The posting page in particular is very tall. Between the search bar, the toolbars, the attachment bar and the options bar, I have to scroll pretty far before getting to the "post" button. Given that most posts will consist of writing some text and hitting "post", that's not userfriendly. The new topic page is even worse, with title+description+poll taking up even more space. I would either try to compress some things, make more things foldable, or at least put a post button above the text entry area.

While writing this it occurred to me that there are now two search areas, one for photozone as such and one for the forums and related things. If photozone as a whole could be one of the search "areas", the two could be combined and placed in the upper-right corner, reducing the vertical space use a bit.

Hi, I implemented all your wishes - well - almost... as Klaus already mentioned their are two different search systems - we can't fix it right now...

Please give me short feedback on the changes.

Thanks,

Sebastian

Would be nice if the title page of the window (this is on linux was "Photozone: yada" instead of "Comments", "Activity", ...

(I.e, prefix every title with "Photozone: ")

Minor thing really but I have like 90 browser windows/tabs so it is nice if the sort order is maintained <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

Hi, I hope it's better now?

Looks much better on the reply. The "Post" bit and twitter icon are still stealing enough that it would be a problem on a very small screen, but it's perfect for me. Thank you!

Thanks Sebastian. Noticed this was added this morning when the sort order changed.

I didn't notice the reply before now. Thank you <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> It makes it much easier to see where links are <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

The photography section is the most "organized" forum (in terms of hierarchy and structure) and currently contains 6 topics spanning across 7 forums. It hasn't quite started to fly yet.

I didn't get a chance to read through the 2 pages of replies under this thread to see if this point was raised before...

Just wanted ask why on earth the old forum URLs are there in the main site navigation links and re-direct later? Just looks very unprofessional.

I initially had the same "problem" too, but I found out it was my browser cache trying too hard and not checking for updates. After I reset the cache I don't see any redirection now.
