Although the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 is faster than the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8, I don't see the slow AF you speak of with the Canon 1DX, and I have no trouble using it to capture events and concerts. I like Sigma's appearance better than Canon's mcdvoice
