Wondering why Canon didn't make a budget lens for EOS RP

A tiny RF 28-70 or 28-90 f4-5.6 IS STM sold cheap would attract plenty of users, with adapter Canon 24-105 STM sold now as kit is somewhat huge and heavy compared to camera size.
