Model name: HD PENTAX-D FA★85mmF1.4 SDM AW
Launch date: Scheduled to be launched in late, 2020

• Developing as an AW (All Weather model) this lens features a dependable dust-proof, weather-resistant structure to prevent the intrusion of water and dust into the lens interior.
  

 

One of the most waited for lenses in the Pentax lineup!

Nice; but it would be nicer when they'll actually announce it (with market availability date and so on).

I'm sure Tokina will give the green light to announce it soon.

I was expecting you to do what you do best. Hoped it won't happen, but expecting it.

Rebadging Pentax was probably too much for them.

Out in less than a couple of weeks. Price in the €2k range. I picked up the DFA* 70-200/2.8 to go with my DFA*50/1.4 over the weekend so will sit out the first batch and get one of the 2nd batch

Update - release June 26th, Weight of lens = 1255g, so a bit of glass in that beautiful body. Preorders start on 27th or 28th May. Looking at €2100

The official full announcement has happened. The cost is $1899.

Have to admit the lens looks mighty fine to these eyes. Like one of these glamour beauties - you'll never even walk with one in your life but still nice to look at.

Luckily for me, I'll get to walk with one in my life.
