Cool. If it can deliver performance-wise, it'll be an awesome lens for outdoor photography.

Super weird focal length range though. :-)
Given the rather odd focal length, I'm not sure I understand who this lens is for exactly.
Who would get this over the Lumix 12-60 f3.5-5.6 or Leica 12-60 f2.8-4?

Aren't those 2 for MFT?
Yeah, at first I thought that this lens was for MFT, too. The force of habit. :-)
Doh! Didn't realize this was a FF lens (I came here from a link in my email without paying attention to the forum name).
I take it back: it's a very very interesting range of focal lengths. In fact, I'd love to have such a range for my Fuji system :-)
A nice differentiator compared to what's offered by other systems.
And the lens seems quite compact too.
If only the S1 was smaller ...
That's exactly the lens I was asking to have in RF mount

That would make the S-mount cameras have a crop factor of 28 / 20 = 1.4x  Tongue Big Grin

Hopefully they'll come up with a small L-mount body in the near future, but I don't think they will: they're banking on MFT for that.
A shame because I believe it's possible to make a somewhat small FF body (e.g. Sony A series) and small lenses to go with it (e.g. Samyang f1.8 lenses and recent Tamron f2.8 zooms).
