Very interesting lens.
It's quite a bit smaller (73.6x82mm vs 75x99mm), lighter (355g vs 470g) and cheaper ($600 vs $800) than the Nikon Z equivalent.
From the dpreview gallery, it seems to render nicely and is sharp wide-open.

In the link above, Panasonic says the MSRP is $1099. That is quite a bit higher than the Nikkor ($799 at introduction, Nikon's price now (Nikon USA) at $699), the Canon (85mm f2 macro, $599) and Sony ($600)...

Oh wait, now I see that it is the OZ website. That explains the high $ number  Big Grin
Maybe Panasonic realized that they can't sell much if they keep on being (even) more expensive than the rest.

Well, it's not that difficult to build something smaller and lighter than the Z primes Wink
Interesting is this 85 mm lens is very similar to the one from Sony: almost same same size and weight, same number of lenses and groups, similar optical diagram. Front group looks the same, some differences are in the back end group.
Not that it would be a bad karma, Sony’s lens is a very good one.
