Opticallimits

I've always been a fan of macro lenses and Sigma have brought out the best one to date for the Sony E mount ........
...... it's one of the sharpest macros ever !!

It doesn't render very smoothly in the background at the distance the sample images are taken in... Lets hope it does better at macro distances? More important to render smoothly than to be the sharpest lens.

*edit:
Looking at other reviews, I see that it does not render very smoothly at closer up distances either. There are nicer macro lenses than this Sigma, albeit not that sharp as this lens perhaps.
