There were rumors of them designing the other Batis lenses too. I honestly don't care. Would it be better if the lenses were cheaper to buy? Absolutely. But I don't really care about who designs and who makes the lenses in which country.
Even one of the most revered Zeiss lenses of all time, Otus, are NOT made by Zeiss at all. In fact, it's made by the same people who make some of the worst built cameras ever made, Cosina.
Would the "purists" get their knickers in a bunch over this now?
