That's also how they went about their PC/laptop business.....
They sold their Sony Vaio branch to an investment company about 2 1/2 years ago - still waiting for them to produce anything....

Couple of years ago they invested astronomical amount of money in sensor technology and production facilities. Now Sony dominates the sensor market. I don't think they have the same market gain in the ILC market. They might sale, who knows.
