Too bad given that for macro the foreground blur is often useless (there's nothing in front of the subject), but it's really good.

Looking at the sample photos (next to the last) the harshness appear when lens is focused at medium distances or may be infinity, I can't tell the exact distance. When the object is close to the lens the blur looks perfect to my eyes.
