Pricing about $3200.

Maybe A-mount is not dead after all

Yeah, sure would be nice to rub it in the face of all those internet naysayers.

Maybe a few lenses will be spawned alongside it - surely the long rumored 85/1.4 and 135/1.8 updates are overdue?

Hmmh, so a top notch pro camera but very little in the prosumer/consumer segment ?

Too little to live, too much to die I'd say.

Agreed. I think the only reason for this camera is that Sony thinks there are still enough old A mount users around to make this economically feasible. I doubt they will develop any new lenses, maybe updates but nothing new.  Moving forward there is no point for the A mount to continue - all the lens development is in E and that is probably where they are making all their money (this is supported when considering the A7Rii and A99ii sell for the same price, the mark up on the simpler A7Rii must be quite high)

Sony Should build a pro E mount camera with a pro A to E adapter. Solved everyone's problem

Well, it exists ... LA-EA4
Actually the LA-EA4 is not supporting Eye AF etc.. It's a different mode than native E mount lenses or Sigma lenses with the Sigma adapter.
They day I can finally get rid of that LA-EA4 adapter will be one of he happiest day of my digital photography life.
