I got into this:

When you turn your camera off, the lens will remember the last focus position and will still be there when you turn the camera on again.

Sure I missed this feature when I read the announcement of the lens. I've never heard of this feature for other lenses: is it the first time?

This is a pretty cool feature! The Sony FE 24-50mm f/2.8 G is one of the first Sony lenses to remember the last focus position when the camera is turned off and on again. This is a huge convenience, especially when shooting multiple scenes in succession or in environments with rapidly changing lighting. Poor Bunny Game
