Woohoo, a couple new bones thrown to the RF users!
Alright, the whole deal was leaked like a shrapnel-ridden roof so we all know the 45mm f/1.2 lens is non-L. Even the descriptions from the manufacturer implies that this is a soft, aberration-ridden "character" lens for those who were digging the old EF 50mm f/1.2L and others of its kind (but at least it's way cheaper than the overpriced L). I can't help rubbing my hands in abnormal glee at thinking of the wipeout that Klaus will inflict on this lens when it chances into his testing lab. Incidentally, my 50 is actually a 45 as well, but it's a proper, well-behaved - the, ah, sometimes iffy stabilizer notwithstanding - unit, the Tamron 45mm f/1.8 that I've been imploring Klaus to review for some time a few years back. He might not remember that fondly. 😃

BTW I think I've read the patent for this Canon lens which states the actual focal length as more of a 48.(something) mm, so the "45mm" moniker is probably just marketing to separate it from the 50mm L. For all we know the 50mm f/1.2L might have the same actual FL, or even shorter.
