You probably recall that a few weeks ago I was into a preliminary evaluation of the new Sigma 12mm f/1.4. While it was pretty interesting, in the end I noted that the Sony 11mm f/1.8 has got a much better magnification ratio (0.2x vs 0.12x), which would probably better fit my use of the lens.
Anyway it was only speculation, since I wasn't going to buy any of them now (too expensive).
But Amazon sold the Sony for 370€ during the Black Friday... so in the end I got it.

Sticking with Sony has probably a higher resale value - especially with a deal.

The Sigma is probably more meant for the other APS-C systems.

My doubt was about the bokeh. In theory a bit of more aperture should blur a bit more, but being able to get closer to the subject should compensate. Indeed there are many factors that weight in and on paper I don't think you can say anything. Strangely there's no comparative review of the two lenses (or at least I didn't find it). Longing to do a real test on the field.
