One can't help reminding one's self that you end up with a 76mm FL @ F1.5 on Fuji's APSc sensor ...... which gives Fuji more hoops and fences to jump to get F1 .......

Perhaps they should include a tee shirt in the box with "I shoot at F1" printed on it ...🙂

Yeah, smaller formats have their advantages. But ultra-high speed lenses for $$$ aren't among them.

ZOMG @ the sharpness chart, this is the weirdest behaviour I've seen in PZ/OL reviews.

P.S. "Stopping down to f/1.4" sounds... scary. 😃

Lenstip also tested the lens, but their "center/border resolution" only figures didn't show this lens's quirk.
Personally, much though I admire Fuji's camera's quality/aesthetics, the fact they don't have a FF body when the three major brands have that option,* is somewhat restrictive, especially as you are paying FF prices!

Yeah, but they have the (mini) Medium Format system. It doesn't make a ton of sense to have THREE formats, and three mutually incompatible lens lines.

BTW do they have an adapted for GFX lenses on X mount, by any chance? Not that it'd make a ton of sense, but I guess it might (have been) somewhat useful for dual system users.

The odd MTFs were caused by astigmatism with one side of a test quadrant being very poor.
Strangely the astigmatism was not so much of an issue in the corners.

It makes no sense now to make FF of course.... it could have done 10-15 years ago .....
Apart from IQ MF has little to offer mass market wise .......

No it isn't what most people are after otherwise SonyCanon/Nikon would not be the biggest sellers ..... they want all round cameras .... ie compactness/fast accurate AF and frame rates/good video with good IQ at affordable prices including affordable compact wide aperture lenses ........ all of which they don't get from MF gear...
