davethebirder Klaus extra spot in speed ..... Basically it's a very good sharp 50mm F2.8 macro with few faults other than it's inherent FL, with so many good longer length macros around I don't see this lens as viable for 1:1 macro shooting .........
Rover Has to be the second most laughable lens hood that I've ever seen on a lens. Almost tied for the 1st place.
Wasserlinse Here is what I did to replace the hood and hide the questionable mechanic design. To attach the short (20 mm) 58 mm hood, a 62-58 mm step-down ring is required. The hood is equipped with a 62 mm front filter thread.
Rover maybe you can shoot coins or stamps with it since they're not prone to getting scared and running away
