Yeah, there was always talking about how Tamron is owned by Sony, whereas in reality it was a 10-15% stake (even though it was among the largest individual slices of the entire pie of shares). Looks like these ignorant insufficiently informed commenters have presaged, or invited, disaster* after all.
'*' Whether that ends up a disaster depends on many things; DPReview did break it down nicely for us laymen.
I wager I'll have to stock up on Tamron lenses for Nikon "just in case", however. 🙂 Klaus, is there any chance you might test the Tamron 50-400mm lens in whichever mount? 🙂 (I'm also eyeballing the 150-500, but that one has already been tested here, and it looks encouraging).
