... it is worth mentioning that much criticism of the previous MkII version was voiced about it's focus breathing when shooting at portrait distances at the long end where it's FL dropped to around 130mm causing backgrounds to be less soft and isolated.........
In fact it was debated here on the forums and compared to the Canon version on which focus breathing was non existent ..... and Tony Northrup made a video entitled "Why I cannot completely go Nikon"
Nikon were aware of the criticisms of the MkII and set about to address the issue with the FL, although it wasn't totally eliminated (185-190mmm @200mm) it went most of the way to silence the critics ......
