Back buying lenses which one should be next ? - toni-a - 06-16-2015

Well seems I am back getting lenses. I am using both full frame and APS-C.

Here's my current lineup:

Canon 300D (I don't use but I love keeping it) Canon 30D plus Canon5D.

As for lenses I have Canon EFS 17-55f2.8 IS my favorite. Plus starting yesterday Canon 24-105f4 L IS

And a set of primes: 28mmf2.8 50f1.4 and 100mm macro

There are dust collecting lenses like 75-300 IS and tokina 24-200 they have defects but no time to take them to repairs.

I need an ultrawide angle lens I don't care if it is full frame or not price shouldn't be very steep. I was considering the new canon 10-18 unless you have better suggestions

New, I don't think you're going to get cheaper than the 10-18. I also liked the Sigma 10-20 variable aperture version while I had that, could be a bargain used but wouldn't buy it new again.

Full frame, there's the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 prime to consider. It isn't a fisheye, but make sure the massive distortion isn't too much for you.

Yep, for the 30D (and other APS-C bodies) the EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM can't be beat for price, and it gives pretty good results too. For FF you are looking at higher prices. I have the Voigtlander 20mm f3.5 SL II for UWA on FF, for its small size.

If you want a prime for APS-C instead, look at the Samyang 10mm f2.8 CS.

If you rather have a fisheye, there are fisheye and circular fisheye options from Sigma and Samyang and Tokina for APS-C, and for FF from Sigma, Canon and Samyang.
