Nothing too surprising there, if it becomes true and at what price will be most interesting. Why did I bother to scan the comments below it though... having said that, it is no worse that expected for a "rumor" site.

3 odd things in those "specs":
- Canon 7D mk II has "standard ISO range" of 100-16000. This 5D 100-6400? I doubt it.
- All other rumors spoke of 53mp. Now 50mp? hmmhmm.
- 1.3x and 1.6x crop modes. Silly and un-Canon like.

Interesting. Not too long ago you guys didn't find an update necessary when D800E / D7100 came out. That were only 50% more pixels, now it's 124% more, I accept that as a reason. Am looking forward to Nikon's answer - or maybe Sony's?

One should keep in mind that the jump from 16 -> 36mp means a jump from 4900px long edge to 7350px long edge. Moving to 50mp "just" gets you to 8200px long edge. The increase in max native print size or in cropping ability is not so large in this jump.

More like 118% more, so from 7350 to 8688 pixels wide? Or 8713 if you go by the latest 50.6mp rumor.
Although, one can't be sure about the MP count apparently, as Canon calls the 6D a 20.2mp camera but only has 5472 x 3648 pixels.

Well, it seems as if the DSLR sensor future is all Sony, isn't it ?
