Well, yes, but it's not a constant aperture lens and doesn't offer the same DOF.

Well, the shallow DOF requires decent bokeh mostly.

Unfortunately none of them shine in this category.

I would say 2,8 is good in term of speed. If you need decent out of focus area, look elsewhere - e.g. primes or longer focal length zooms

It would be great to have a 50mm nikkor 1.8G DX review. I guess most of us have DX and not FX sensors.
