Probably not too many users for R&D to be worth it. Next PZ lens test report: Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SP Di VC USD (Nikon FX) - johnwhit - 08-03-2011 I guess Pentax need to increase their market share, hopefully Ricoh will have a positive impact. More players is a benefit to all customers as it increases competition. Next PZ lens test report: Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SP Di VC USD (Nikon FX) - MiDan - 02-13-2014 Hello, I bought an Nikon D3100 ( with 18-55 mm kit lens ), which I assume is good enough for my skills. I want to take some wildlife photos and I was looking at Nikon AF-S 70-300 VR but I have read your review and I'm considering the Tamron also. The price is much better for Tamron, ~310 EURO ( new, 5 years warranty ) instead of ~530 EURO for Nikon AF-S 70-300 VR. I don't have enough experience and my concern is "the very solid viewfinder image" that you mention in the review, is an issue when taking pictures of birds or chamois ? Thank you P.S. I hope my English was good enough. Next PZ lens test report: Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SP Di VC USD (Nikon FX) - mst - 02-17-2014 Well, it's something that one needs to get used to. However, it's only really an issue when you try to adjust the composition just a little (and the VC tries to compensate for that). If the time or subject allows, the easiest approach is to either move away a little more and then aim again, or to release the shutter button. After a short while, the VC will stop working and one can start from scratch again. -- Markus Next PZ lens test report: Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SP Di VC USD (Nikon FX) - MiDan - 02-18-2014 I guess I can handle that. Thank you. |
